Protocol Celebration Between Boas Quintas and Turismo de Portugal

On March 21th, Boas Quintas and Turismo de Portugal have signed a protocol agreement for it’s wine tourism project as a result of company’s application to the Linha de Apoio à Valorização Turística do Interior, in the scope of Programa Valorizar.

At the signing ceremony Boas Quintas has received on its cellar the visit of Ana Mendes Godinho, The Secretary of State of Tourism, Carlos Abade, Administrator of Tourism in Portugal, and José Júlio Norte, The Mayor of Mortágua.

The financial support provided for the signed protocol, with the value of 105 884€, will be used for the development and promotion of Boas Quintas Wine Tourism Program.

With more than 25 years of history, the Sociedade Agrícola Boas Quintas has given its firsts steps on the Wine Tourism in 2016, after the construction of its new cellar, in Mortágua. In 2018, the company intends to strengthen its offer in the wine sector, using innovative actions that favor the social and environmental components.

Present in more than 25 countries, with 80% of the production being exported, Boas Quintas Wine Tourism Program focuses in both national and international wine tourists.

Sociedade Agrícola Boas Quintas and Turismo de Portugal believe that this contract will diversify the tourist offer and enhance the attractiveness of this destination, on the country’s interior. Both parties are aware of the importance of tourism as a promoter of the development in this region and the territorial cohesion, in a context in which the main attractions of the region (forest and landscape) have been partially destroyed by the fires of the summer of 2017.
