Fonte do Ouro Tinto 2016 has received the Great Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB), where 9180 wines were tasted, of which only 97 were awarded with this medal.
Fonte do Ouro Tinto 2016 surprising in the balance between Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Jaen grape varieties, as well as the aroma marked by currant and cherry. In the tasting it reveals freshness, soft body and elegant tannins characteristic of Dão wines, having a very smooth, pleasant and long finish. This wine goes well with red meats and oven roasts.
The 25th edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) took place from 10-14 May 2018 in Beijing, China. This edition of the competition had more than 9180 wines from 48 producing countries, which were analyzed by 320 juris from more than 50 different nationalities.
The award of medals was done through scores given in a blind test.
The CMB is the only traveling competition in the world, with 25 years of experience, being the only wine competition to carry out quality control tests on the awarded wines.
